Likes: the woods, Cal's cute face, sound of rushing water, sunrises, dark green and soft pink together, plants and flowers, mellow days, a taste of adrenaline

Dislikes: swimming, flirting, scary movies, loud events, sappy love, heartbreak, stupidity, anything orange
Discipline:
Friends: Thaxton, "Thax", is a sweet boy who is one of Cal's friends and easily became Ari's friend. He gets along with her very well and often asks her for advice with the girls. Conlan is another one of Cal's friends that became Ari's friend. Conlan is the daredevil of the group and often times pushes them to do stupid ideas. He has a good heart but loves a good adrenaline rush. Usually he never asks for advice with the ladies because he is a smooth, cool cat. But, when he really likes a girl, he gets very nervous and asks Ari a million questions about the mare of interest.
Mate: Calum, "Cal", is Ari's crush. They both are shy and move slowly with relationships so it has been a joke that they have been mates since birth. They are very close and grew up as best friends but it developed into more as they grew older.

Narrative: We raced through the forest. Pulses and heart rates pounding. I knew we went too far but yet I had fallen into temptation and peer pressure. My knees were stinging from running through branches and bushes. My breathing was heavy and my anxiety thrived off of the fear that consumed me. Everyone said to me to not go past the old rusty barbed wire fence but still curiosity tempted me and coaxed me to lower my walls of fear and good judgement. The forest was dimly lit as the sun faded away and darkness sauntered into our presence. I hesitated for a second to see where my friends were but I could not hear them. I felt a heavy breath on my shoulder and swung around. I let out a shriek as a tall, daunting figure stood behind me. It was only Cal luckily. I sighed out of relief and caught my breath as we stood next to one another. Conlan and Thaxton soon found us and we all raced to our cars but we stopped short of them and stayed outside for a moment to discuss what we actually saw. “Ari, what did you see?” Cal asked me as he wrapped his arm around me. “I, I saw a, um I believe I saw Old Man Davidson.” I replied shakily. As the tears ran down my face I wiped them away with my dirty sweatshirt sleeves but I didn’t have any other option. My clothes were torn and tattered and my skin was scraped and bruised. Cal tried to comfort me by wiping off the leaves and dirt from my clothes but I was too in shock to respond to his actions. I saw Thaxton and Conlan talking to me but I could not hear them or coax a word out of my throat. Cal gently picked me up and brushed my hair away. Thaxton opened the car door and and Cal set me down in the front seat. He took off his sweatshirt and wrapped me in it as I fell asleep. My eyes grew heavier and heavier as Cal gently ran his fingers through my hair. Thoughts ran through my mind still but my body started to fall into a state of tranquil paralyzation. Cal stayed silent as we drove back to his house. I could feel him softly holding and rubbing my hand but it was as if I could not react or respond to him. My eyes were glued shut. As the car slowed down, I started to wake up and grasped Cal’s hand and gently rubbed it. I wiggled my toes and started to move my arms and legs. I mustered up all my strength and whispered to Cal “why did I ever listen to one of your many bad ideas?”. I looked at him and he smirked and laughed. “Love makes you do stupid things at times I guess” he said to me and smiled. I rolled my eyes and laughed. He gave me a look as if to say “what” and so I said “Oh Calum, when are you going to carry me inside? I’m cold in this car.” He smirked and said “Anything for my sunshine.” He got out of the car and opened my door. I extended my arms and he scooped me up. Cal carried me up the stairs and into his room where he gently placed me on his bed. He brushed my hair away and smiled. Then, he walked out of the room and said “I’ll be on the couch if you need anything. Wake me up tomorrow morning or else I’ll wake you up if you’re not moving by noon.” I smiled and drifted into a sweet slumber and craved more adventure.
