Nova is a girl who loves every fine detail of nature. She loves observing the water rush by in the raging river and stare up into the long, lush branches of the tall redwood trees. Nova is a total hippie and a lover, not a fighter. She is carefree, a daydreamer, and happy go lucky. She is a peace maker and goes with the flow like the river. Her biggest pet peeve is carelessness; she hates it when anyone carelessly stomps through delicate flower beds and ruins its beauty. Nova is a gentle mare who cares about everyone and every last plant and creature. She has a kind heart and a lot of love to give. She is graceful and takes her time getting to know someone. She asks the deep questions and looks for depth in someone when looking for a friend. Nova does not have tons of friends because she is selective and values true friendships that last. She's a free spirit and her one wish would be to come back as a butterfly. She loves to bask in the sun and run with the wind and her best friend, Kimi. Nova is very protective of Kimi and of every last flower and plant. She carefully walks through forests as to not upset the ecosystem. She loves to watch sunrises and sunsets and enjoys the natural beauty of nature while on trail rides.

Discipline: Nova was born wild and was rescued at a young age but she never lost her love for nature. She is a warrior who peacefully protects nature. Nova loves to go on trail rides because it makes her feel wild again. It reminds her of her mother and her carefree life as a wild tolter. When she was rescued, she was easy to tame and train. Today, she is a beginner friendly mare whose kind heart makes all who sit in her saddle feel welcomed and comfortable. Nova does not consider herself a princess by any means. She is not a diva at all. Soon after she was tamed, she showed interest in young children, so she started off as just a trail ride horse for beginners. But, after a few months, we realized that her gentle heart wanted to do more. She wanted to be a therapy horse for young children who need some cheer and happiness in their life. We designed her cape for her so she would look extra adorable and cute. It also reminded us of her butterfly friend Kimi, since we noticed that Kimi likes to land on Nova quite often and rest on her. She wears it when little girls come to visit her. When there are children who are bedridden and lonely in their homes, we load Nova into the trailer and she happily visits her new friends. She enjoys seeing the glowing smiles of children. Nova could care less about competing in shows and winning ribbons. She would rather bring joy to those who need some joy and love than be selfish and only out for herself. When she sees a child struggling to get onto her, she tries to lower her body down to the ground so the child can get on. She is very conscious about how fast she goes and if the rider is comfortable. Her compassion helps many children who have difficulties in life. Often times, she spends all day on rides with young kids and by the end of the day, she is still just as happy and kind as she was at the beginning of the day. As a therapy horse, she gets many requests from caring parents of sick children for Nova to come visit their hospitalized children. We bring her in every other week to children's hospitals and weekly to the homes of sick children. Nova absolutely loves her job and loves meeting new people. She loves her outfit and every year she parades in the annual Fourth Of July parade as a part of the children's hospital float. She is a fan favorite and truly enjoys all of this attention. She poses for selfies like a queen and is always happy to take a picture with anyone. Nova has the best temperament for being a therapy horse and she gets the most joy out of making people smile. Sometimes she spends a long time with the hospital patients so they braid her mane and tail. She goes into a trance and becomes very mellow and relaxed when kids play with her name and tail. In the hospitals, kids often times feed her treats and so she's developed quite the sugar tooth. As for her relationship with Kimi, Kimi has been her barn buddy for quite some time now. Nova leaves Kimi a sugar cube to suck on or parts of apple slices for her to enjoy. Kimi likes to land in Nova's mane and ride around on her when Nova isn't going faster than a casual walk. When Nova lays down to sleep, Kimi rests in her mane. Kimi is pretty independent but still visits Nova everyday. Nova likes having the company of her little friend, yet she does like her alone time.
