Personality: Born from a breeder specializing in exotic spotted colors, this girl was sickly as a puppy. Low on space, the breeder presented her as low energy in an effort to sell her sooner. She was taken away to two separate homes, and returned twice because of her illness. Her health was swept under the rug, though she recovered enough on her own to be presented again. The third buyer took her in and got her vet care once they noticed her sickness. She became well very quickly, and the owner, who had expected a calmer pup, had a handful of energy. She was competent to entertain herself with toys, so the owner would often leave her outside alone.
One day, she tried to slip between two slats in the fence, and pierced her eye with a splinter. It went unnoticed for days, and by the time the owner noticed, her eye clearly had to be removed. Though they did not plan on keeping her, they payed for vet treatment before surrendering her to a no-kill shelter. She gets along incredibly well with just one eye, and loves people! She needs a lot of exercise, but loves learning new tricks. Enjoy her!
